This morning I woke up with a horrible migraine. The last thing I wanted to do was be presentable and go out of the house. I rushed to get ready. No time to do my hair or makeup, got dressed and left for church. Somehow running late I got front row parking right by the door and even though I was 15 minutes late I still had time to get coffee before the sermon began!
Things as always were really hitting home to me. I found myself wiping tears away through the last half of the message. Listening and learning about priorities and distractions. Being guilty of allowing ourselves to be weighted down by so many things. Letting go of our angers, our sins and our resentments.
Then they began to do baptisms(obviously always get me emotional) I watched as all of these people walked into the water with amazing support full of sin and came out of the water fresh, forgiven and ready for a new beginning. I had no more excuses.
Today- unplanned through uncontrolled tears I was lead by my heart, God and the amazing support of the church to take the step into the water and lifted up into a new beginning.
Matthew:2-3 suddenly,a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. "Lord," the man said, " if you are willing,you can heal me and make me clean". Jesus reached out and touched him. "I am willing," he said.
